dr hab. Adam Gendźwiłł, prof. UW

associate professor, faculty of sociology, university of warsaw
head of center for electoral studies

Founder and head of the Center for Electoral Studies. He obtained his PhD in Sociology at the University of Warsaw and  a habilitation in Political Science and Administration from Polish Academy of Sciences. 

His main research interests include Electoral systems and behavior, as well as local government politics. Recently, he has published on local elections, the role of political parties in municipal governments, patterns of preferential voting, gender quotas, and administrative division reforms in Europe.

He currently holds the office of Deputy Chairman in the Council of Polish National Agency for academic exchange. 

He’s one the the co-organiseres of both „Quantitative Research in Political Science” Workshops, as well as Interdisciplinary Seminar in Empirical Social Science (ISESS) at University of Warsaw.

dr hab. Jacek Haman

Associate professor, faculty of sociology, university of warsaw
head of department for formal models and quantitative methods in sociology

His research interests include formal political theory, methodology of quantitative social research, statistical methods in social sciences, game theory and its applications in sociology and political science, social choice theory, and sociology of education.

he has also been employed as a professor at the Educational Research Institute, where he puts his research knowledge into practice. He serves as a member of the Scientific Council of the Centre for Quantitative Research in Politics at Jagiellonian University. He is a member of the Electoral Experts Team at the Batory Foundation

dr hab. Maciej Górecki, prof. UW

associate professor, faculty of psychology, university of warsaw

Prof. Górecki’s  interests include comparative politics, sociology of politics, electoral behavior, electoral systems, causal inference in social sciences.

He obtained a master’s degree in social research methods from London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as his  PhD in political science from Trinity College Dublin. Then he earned his habilitation in sociological sciences from Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

dr hab. Wojciech Rafałowski

Wojciech Rafałowski is an Assistant Professor in sociology and works at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Warsaw. 

His research interests include political competition in post-communist countries and comparative politics.

Jan Kroszka

graduate student, warsaw school of economics

Jan Kroszka obtained a master’s degree in Quantitative Methods in Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics and previously studied Sociology at the University of Warsaw. During his studies, he also attended courses at the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

His research interests include the relationship between the economy and politics, as well as applications of statistical methods in the social sciences.

Stanisław Mazur

undergraduate student, university of warsaw

Student of sociology, philosophy and economics at University of Warsaw. His academic interests are related to political science, particularly political (electoral) behavior, electoral systems and demography along with its political consequences.
